Washington AP claims: NFL PAC gives more than $600,000 in political "donations", PACoff shows that money going 5.5:1 to incumbent democrats. CNS news headline: "National Football League Backs Reid Over Angle; Invests $340,000 to Save Incumbent Congress." Contributions by ESPN and it's employees are estimated to exceed $500,000 with 99% going primarily to incumbent democrats. In response to a recent article by Stinky Journalism claiming recent journalist contribution to candidates went 65% to democrats, Volunteer Political Money Watcher reports the average 2010 political campaign donation by journalists is $570 going 8:1 to democrats. ABC News reports the majority of hedge fund money is going to support the campaigns of incumbent democrats. According to Riddick at The Chronicle, Disney Corp and employees are dumping record amounts of their money into Charlie Crist and Alex Sink in Florida and incumbent democrats around the nation.
Considering the amount of taxpayer money that goes into building football stadiums and public transit projects for the sole benefit of certain select private entities like Disney - I propose that football players and Mickey Mouse can build their own stadiums and roads! Furthermore, considering the massive democrat donations by ESPN, is it any wonder why ESPN has continuously thumbed its nose at our Troops? Our son flew from MO to NJ to be on the Colors details (giant US Flag display), ESPN not only refuses to air the display but insisted that no video or still pic's of any kind were to be released. During the entire ceremony, including while our National Anthem played, the old washed-up worthless talking heads filled the TV screen not even hinting at their having enough dignity to respect their country or their flag! Not that I watch sports anyway but you can well bet that I will, with all my being, oppose anything Disney, ESPN or the NFL wants.
