Personally I hope the General tells the moron to go f--- himself!
I know there's some things that should stay behind closed doors but when the President, I don't care who is in that chair, is indifferent about the military and the resultant security of the United States, then it is the duty of the military leaders or anyone else who knows what's going on to tell the people the truth. The country does not revolve around one person, it revolves around the Constitution and if the president or any other political head(s) need to be replaced, we have a system in place to handle it - what's the big deal? Replace and move on.
Sorry if I seem a little opinionated on this but I was on the USS JFK when it was likely the most AFU operation in the Navy. Things were kept quiet so as not to "make waves" and the result was four dead airmen and an almost total catastrophy - all of which could have been avoided if people would have said damn the politics and spoke out.

I have not been following this as close this morning because I was working. What I hear on the radio news is not too helpful. I understand the old rule of being loyal to the commander in chief but I think McChrystal may have had it up to here with the indecision of the prez. Sometimes a real military man will take the hit for the good of the country and especially the military that are always the ones that have to give their lives for the country. Maybe some good will come out of this especially at the polls.....

These are truly strange times we live in when the Halfrican who won't produce a birth certificate or a single record and is known to have used multiple Social Security numbers sits in the Whitehouse playing President. There remain few things I am certain of, one being Bork's statement about the end of Western Civilization as we know it.
McChrystal holds the distinction of being a warrior in the footsteps of Patton, one who leads his troops and holds their respect by the manner in which he leads. Strangely his politics are liberal Democrat, and he is also a strong supporter of the environmental wackos.
I fully believe going back to Julius Caesar commanders and national leaders have fully known their Army held them in less than reverence and often in contempt, and recognized that as the right of the soldier.
The current occupant of the Whitehouse in addition to never having run a hat shop or an ice cream stand was never near the military. Sadly his "education" leaves him thinking he is a great general (comparison to Hitler not needed) and a wonderful leader. He does exhibit many of the leadership qualitys of the dwarf running N Korea.
The Halfrican also seems to delude himself through a warped sense of history into thinking he is the reincarnation of Harry Truman. He believes he can now substitute a general he was calling Betrayus 3 or 4 years ago to replace McChrystal. It WILL NOT FLY with the troops! Had he the slightest of Truman's skills or ability rather than acting in the manner of a spoiled child, he would have called McChrystal into the Oval Office and set things straight, kicking ass or chewing ass as he chose behind closed doors.
Then he would have informed McChrystal they were walking out of the room to a Press conference where they would turn the entire incident against Rolling Stone, and McChrystal would be on the next plane back to Afganistan to acheive results.
Instead Dopey McChange launched into another of his mythical leadership events. If Obama was the answer it truly must have been a stupid question! The Nation may be able to survive Obama's stupidity, but we remain in jeapordy from the stupid bastards who elected him.
