WEDNESDAY Jul 14, 2010 12:12 ET Gov't has reached no conclusions in Toyota case By KEN THOMAS, Associated Press The government says it hasn't reached any conclusions about whether Toyota drivers may be to blame for their vehicles suddenly accelerating.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says Wednesday its engineers continue to investigate possible causes of sudden acceleration in Toyotas along with the National Academy of Sciences and NASA.
The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday the government had analyzed dozens of event data recorders, or black boxes, in Toyota vehicles involved in crashes blamed on unintended acceleration and found the throttles were open and the brakes not engaged. That would suggest drivers were stepping on the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

The campaign against Toyota not only showed the government's vindictiveness against Toyota for NOT taking government money, and thus placing itself under government control, but MORE importantly, it shows the depth of involvement, and the willingness in which the sewage of the lying, liberal, media will follow and promote the government's agenda and war against private enterprise, by fabricating and doctoring the 'evidence' to prove that a product is defective, thus requiring government intervention, up to and including, seizing the companies assets, fining the company into bankruptcy, or applying 'standards' to the private sector, that government owned companies do not have to meet.
As was proven, once ABC 'news' was caught using its 'expert' to cut, strip the insulation from, and rewire the wiring harness to produce the desired results, the sewage of the media quickly lost interest. There is no telling how much the elitist sewage of the media, which have NO concept of integrity or ethics, (either personal, or corporate), paid these 'victims' for their sensationalist sob stories.
The mainstream media would NOT, and could NOT tell the truth about anything, mainly due to their close ties with the Communist Party, United States of Socialist AmeriKa, and the medias' desire to see the agenda of the CPUSSA implemented, but also because of the complete lack of integrity and ethics within this profession, and the practictioneers thereof.

I read that article and still have some reservations about some incidents that were not mentioned. Maybe the majority of the accidents were someone pressing the accelerator instead of the brake – maybe some were the floor mat jammed under the accelerator as the first fix was suggested. I am sure some incidents have been reported by scammers looking for big cash settlements. Still there are several accidents where reputable drivers have been killed in the accident. I still think there is an intermittent electronics problem that has caused some of the problems. I have spent over 50 years troubleshooting electronic problems. The most difficult problems to fix or diagnose are intermittent problems that show up under certain conditions. Computers even make it more difficult. How many times have you had your PC freeze or quit and a simple power down and back up has fixed the problem? I remember when I was working avionics for the airline and we got our first 747’s. I was in the cockpit working on a VHF radio problem when the lead mechanic called for parts on his UHF Handy Talkie. The flight engineer sitting at the engineer’s panel noticed that when the UHF radio was keyed that the pressurization control suddenly forced the outflow valve wide open. Yes this was no problem on the ground with doors open but what if the aircraft had been at 30,000 feet? We reported the problem to the FAA and Boeing and an engineering fix was implemented. I was driving down the road in my 86 Ford Ranger when I hit a dead spot on the throttle position sensor and the engine sputtered. I am not familiar with the Toyota electronics and most auto manufactures electronics are proprietary to keep competitors from stealing their ideas so I have no direct knowledge of the design. I just feel that there has not been a thorough investigation yet. The Obama administration has sure not helped. I guess what bothers me is that you never heard of the sudden acceleration problem in the days before the computers and electronics were added to the engine controls. The brake and accelerator pedals are and were in the same locations.

So actually there was reason for a real investigation. The faith is lost as we know they are going after (deep pockets) Toyota for direction that doesn't point to all cars but only theirs. It is well to remember that last year there was a "problem" with Toyo parts suppliers and a whole host of things not being unionized at the same time they were taking over GM. Certain things get set in motion. Then as we see we cannot trust. We Cannot Trust this administration to do anything without strongarming the results (like playing a city they own) We have a problem. so it goes into a legaleese thing where you get the CEO or someone out there to admit guilt before the facts are in. Then you've drilled a pocket to hinge other allegations on. It's all extortion in a way. I'm fairly sure the throttle sensors to the ecu work similar to those like a tps to the throttle body. Maybe they eliminated the cable and instead of feedback it is like tps from the pedal and the fuel governing is direct out of the ecu to some digital motor. It isn't that this is unique only that Toyota had deep pockets. Further investigation could have turned up a sensitivity to many other circuits like this to certain sidebands. Things which are currently allowed. I think it no coinsidence. When you call the FCC about alien unlawful signal power across the AM band , which coinsidently has talk radio, they don't want to hear about it. Even though it is against their own rules they have no time to investigate. It is beginning to look like a pattern. Now if Toyotas are sensitive then it's Toyo's fault. Then kill the canaries and rape them first.

i used that "r" word at the end of last post. I am sorry for that. I have no direct evidence that it has anything yada yada. They already incriminated Toyota before direct evidence btw. Now just because I own a Toyota that was made 24 yrs ago doesn't make me some protecter of all their new vechicles I can't afford. I have to weather this system. I have to see those who cannot afford the cars nor the maintenance drive them in my face every day. Because I know it comes like it always does their debts are forgiven and I will be lucky to drive the used ones. I'm on a different side of the system. Certain things we accept. However, it just might be that in some cases those who have actually got their back against the wall have taken the bait to be among those who made false claims against this company. By doing so they cloud the actual issues.
