I'm not impressed, these aren't really "new", the technology has been around for several years, it's just finally starting to come down in price enough to be somewhat reasonable for prototyping applications.

SLA has been around for quite a while. Three D printing is newer and uses a somewhat different process. But to me the cool 3 D process is DMLS, www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW-2xaIDtMkIf I remember correctly the parts made this way are 98% of the density of a machined part made from billet.
